I was rewatching the scenes with Armand and Daniel and noticed that the masks used during the beheading look a lot like the stylized faces of Lestat and Louis (Daniel has Lestat and Armand has Louis).
I don't think there's much to theorize behind this choice(?) but it really made me laugh haha I interpreted it as: "Okay, you guys are done telling your story and you're happy, now it's our turn" (I'm not being serious, the choice of masks just really cracked me up).
