Time for a lore drop! And Oriolepaw is getting more curious about her clan's past

This chapter was really important to me to develop the culture of my clans. I'm not the first person to point this out but it is so boring a lame that the canon clans don't have any kind of holidays or celebrations and they don't sing or have festivals??? BORING ITS SO BORING!!

So here are our Duskclan cats having a festival of their own and we learn a little more about that day a year ago... Also, who is that stranger on the last page...?

First DtD of the year! And a bit of a layout change

I love Hootpaw and Oriolepaw's friendship. And all I want for them is to be able to look at bugs together. But alas they were born into a bloodfighter family. Linnetpaw not having a good time, as usual.

Nightstar experiences a manifestation of her guilt, what else is new?

Since Duskclan split off, they've been disconnected from Starclan. In the lore of this world that I have, you can only communicate with Starclan when going to the Moonfalls. No calling Starclan at 3am challenges when you can just talk to your dead relatives. So Nightstar thinking she's seeing a Starclan cat is a pretty big deal.

Damn it sounds like living in Mapleclan kinda sucked, I wonder if anybody should do anything about that

The boys finally get to have some proper introductions and Chanterelleclaw is here! He made a brief cameo in the prologue but now he gets to speak. He and Nightstar have a lot of history and it seems like Nightstar has a things she still has yet to let go of.

Also, it's been a year since I uploaded the prologue! I wish I could have gotten more chapters out in that time, but I'm determined to stick with this project for as long as I can. And thank you all for supporting me thus far :)

Here is the prologue! I am so very excited to get to posting and sharing this story. Though to note, the prologue will be very much not like the rest of the comic. I decided to do a fully illustrated set of traditional pages to contrast with the half illustrated style the main comic will be drawn in.

Because @ailuronymy‘s using the canon Clans, which are in England. I was raised in the US and had these ponderosa pines around.
