Satellite Stories - Campfire
Lights Go Low -Â Satellite Stories.
Satellite Stories are one of the bands that really grabbed my attention in 2013 with the release of Pine Trails, their second album. This Finnish based indie pop group deliver punchy instrumentals reminiscent of Two Door Cinema Club and have the ability to instantly get you tapping your feet and bobbing your head.Â
"Lights Go Low" is the second single to be released after, the incredible, "Campfire"—it's just as good if not better. Featuring a wonderful off-beat drum, accompanied by the awesome ebb and flow of lead vocalist Esa Mankinen’s lyrics makes for a great sound. You also get the occasional tweak of a Finnish accent coming through and I just dig that!
The Pine Trails album is considerably more mature than their first studio album Phrases To Break The Ice and I look forward to watching these lads as they keep going from strength to strength.
