tbh most of my coyote starrk love came from this user : aria6 who has a TON of them. lots of oneshots, some longer works, etc etc.

They seem to have left the fandom in 2015 so everything that's not complete is gonna stay that way, but DANG the imagination.

3.  "Madara. Thank you for coming." 

Madara planned on taking it to his grave, but he had once or twice, on maudlin evenings, indulged in wondering how it would go if he and his estranged childhood friend got to meet at the river again. How Hashirama's voice would sound (overjoyed, surprised, annoyingly casual?), how much he would babble, how ridiculous he would act.

That quiet, reserved tone hadn't featured in any of it. ( Days on a wire )

9. Something was pawing at her shield. 

"Nooo, mister Croissant, we close at seven..." Orihime mumbled into the fluffy hood of her sleeping bag, and laboriously turned over onto her other side. ( Oxytocin )

10. The train car dedicated to bigger daemons has its regulars. ( let's go and throw all the songs we know into the sea )

Okay, I like either opening with dialogue or “ok so this is totally gonna be a oneshot so here’s me hitting you with the premises in the first actual sentence so we don’t waste time. you’re welcome.”

apart from the spooky one with tobirama breaking the spacetime continuum for his brothers which has a very despairing and half out of it with exhaustion feel anyway so that was just setting the mood or something. XD

5. Bloodsport (grimmichi scifi-ish AU, WIP, i’ve been working on the plotting recently! just gotta find a good way to deal with the HUGE amount of offscreen backstory.)

4. Crash Standing (davesprite/karkat post-game, multiparter AND complete!! i wrote that one by the seat of my pants instead of losing myself in planning and worry and it worked super well somehow. it’s adorable and it was funny to write, homestuck canon is ridiculous sometimes which, good. also i managed to complete something for once in my life.)

3. Mercy Lives Not in the Holly (agatha heterodyne on a revenge spree, psychic wolves AU, oneshot, part of a WIP series. i am still super proud of the emotional punch in that one and also that i managed to complete something for twice in my life. also, psychic wolves.)

2. cherry wine (madara/tobirama/izuna weird ABO, WIP, atm the one that lives rent-free in my head)

1... drumrolls plz.... Midnight on the Demon Patrol  (T^T davekat urban fantasy summoner/demon AU, WIP. very slow progress. like ten words a year progress. but oh my baby.)

honorary “fic”, everything i wrote AND everything adi wrote for Heterodyne!Sorin FanFanFic sorin heterodyne universe. is it still a fanfic when it’s a fanfic of my friend’s fanfic of my OWN fanfic that was so centered around OCs to start with that you don’t even need to know a thing about girl genius AND i like it better than my own original fic tho. also adi and i were basically each other’s beta/idea giver/bouncing ball for all of it, so even with a single official writter it’s still pretty collaborative.

Askerian: seriously this manga reads like if someone came up with a naruto fanfic at age fourteen like what if they were exorcists and has been working on it for ten years and now it's entirely its own thing but you can see the bones everywhere

ok so... i didn’t write much this year. :/ counting only the fics i STARTED this year, that’s :

girl genius: murdering your uncle for fun and profit  (silly valois cousins bonding via murder ficlet.)

Bleach / grimmichi has ABO crack ficlet  (what it says on the tin),   Howling Outside Your Door (also ABO crack but NOT a ficlet!), superhero love triangle  which is a super fun concept but might never ever get another chapter and def not an actual PLOT and PLANNED ENDING,

Naruto of all goddamned dead fandoms comes in as a surprise contender with  blood rare and sweet as cherry wine which, surprise, ANOTHER ABO thing?!! with completely “asuka why. how.” worldbuilding and tobirama being a complete troll.

And... that’s it for this year.

(Oxytocin (grimmichihime cuddle drugs) was first posted in august of last year. that’s four chapters in fourteen months. i mean i love the concept but uuugh come out fasteeeeer. and when will Bloodsport come back from the war. last update in january. cries. i love the worldbuilding and setup so much but every time i even think about it another plot twist and seven potential chapters three of which direrctly contradict each other try to get added in.)

yeah, so the winner is the naruto fic, for being sexy, dynamic, and COMPLETE (though the sequel to tie up all those loose ends somehow ALSO keeps adding “but wouldn’t it be cool if...” i don’t care it’s not posted it doesn’t count.) i wrote it so fast and the worldbuilding was so damn fascinating to figure out.
