Hi I’m literally never gonna stop talking about pilot!Poland and the engpol ww2 pilot timeline

*coughs* so you know when you have a final paper due the next day so you spend your whole night trying to draw your favorite pilot son in the Hetalia anime style because... because why not.

I fucking CHOKED when I was drawing this cause I was sitting with my roommate who is also writing an essay for her own finals and I went “damn if only I was good at drawing backgrounds-” and she just cuts me off and says “Broom, write your FUCKING ESSAY” and honestly thats a mood god I love my roommate to death she is a gift

Aww thank you!  Iiii would like to develop a bunch to be really interesting and entertaining … probably means really spending time in some historical periods and setting a bit.

(SO LIKE.  the idea that struck me was that it might have been Liet who tipped off the people that rescued Poland in that fic.  Because there was no information, no paper trail whatsoever as to where Poland was, and when Lithuania carefully made contact with some of these people he found that they didn’t know either.  Which eventually led him to realise that Russia himself was almost the only one who knew….. and so Lithuania, at considerable personal risk tries to find out more, sneakily or direct from Russia, and pass on the information to his new contacts.  (Aaand, heartbreakingly, declines to run off and join them himself because his people and land still need him to stay put, and because his presence would put them all in greater danger than they already run aughh sad.  Also Estonia figuring out SOMETHING is going but Lithuania really doesn’t want to getting anyone else in trouble by getting them involved….)  Annnnyway so.  There it would really make sense for him to be relating to these proper characters so if there were a bunch of them with personalities and stories of their own that would be fab..!  (…The biggest difficulty I’m maybe having here is it would ALSO involve really properly writing Russia at this time and Russia-Lithuania interactions, AND also I’d probably have to stop skirting around issues of “No seriously, where exactly are they living, what are their daily tasks, etc etc.”) )

In pilots!timeline, I totally still haven’t written like ANY humans (…wow ;; )  Only vague ideas I had is another Polish pilot who’s Feliks’ duet partner and friend, and an English girl/young woman who’s Special Operations Executive and/or Auxiliary Transport pilot and volunteers to drop Feliks back on the continent when it’s time to go - and everyone’s all “ooOOooh, got  a handsome pilot man of your own eh eh eh?” and that’s just… not it at all.  So, they’ve got stories!  As do the entire squadron(s) they fly with, and some people back who helped smuggle Feliks out in the first place…  (An architect, for one, I’ve really got to include an architect.  It seems a kind of scholarly respectable job, but when the chips are down maybe you stop being respectable… also, it means you might know a good deal about how to construct secret rooms for hiding people.  Feliks tells her to stay alive because people like her will be needed to fix things up, afterwards.  And Zofia/Zosia who’s so far basically just a name, but who I think literally busted him out of some place on a motorbike.  Something of the feeling - young, incredibly brave and determinedly jolly - of what I got from you of Stones for the Rampart…?)

…..Flip side to all that, I want something with Feliks himself heading up some utterly improbable and spectacular mission/rescue :D  because although I reeeeally like thinking about all the countless instances there must have been when ordinary people helped the nation-personifications.. I also want more of his ridiculously heroic moments!
