Pilliox is the child of Lady Kassiox and Lord Umbrox, High King of the Umbral Plane. He is the youngest of four children - Daedrox, Reliox, and Jessilox are his elder siblings. The nobles of the Umbral Plane, Pilliox included, are dragons.

He was initially a moody and spoiled teenager when Susana and Amelia met him. Pilliox was prone to violent bursts of anger and his emotions limited the control over his polymorph. Because of this, he was often confined to his wing of the mansion. His feelings of isolation further deepened his anger and spite towards his father. Though Susana disliked him, she couldn’t help but sympathize with the boy because of her own past.

Pilliox’s lack of control caused his father, and Daedrox to a lesser degree, to find him shameful and resent him. Umbrox has even gone so far to say “If life was fair, you wouldn’t be my son.”

Separation from his father caused a drastic change in Pilliox’s personality. While on the Plane of Balthazar, he changed into a much more laid back individual. He earned his freedom after playing a key role in helping the Wardens take down his father. Pilliox willingly fought his father, though it resulted in the loss of one of his wings.

Pilliox unwillingly returned to the Umbral plane with his father after the Wardens’ fight with the Flame Sultan. He again tried to fight his father, leading Umbrox to slightly change his attitude toward his son. Roughly 150 years later in his time, Pilliox returned to the Plane of Balthazar. He was able to do so because, unbeknownst to him, he was a Warden himself.
