So I just came back from the vet and it turns out Chamomile, my guinea pig, has endrometriosis. And an infection in her uterus. She has been shedding her uteran wall which scared me when I didn’t know what it was but it’s actually good according to the vet! He gave me some stronger antibiotics to start her on. Has anyone else experienced this with their guinea pigs? Any tips on how to make sure she gets the rest of it out? I’m considering giving her rear a soak in warm water.
I’m very happy to know what it is and have a treatment! I think this might also explain a problem she’s had with recurring UTIs. And maybe clear it up once and for all.
