This old hog tooth I found in the creek has some really pretty dark blue coloration to it. It was underwater and from the color I thought it was a piece of slag or bonfire glass at first!

Here are all the loose teeth I found in my creek this year! Not the biggest haul ever but not the smallest either.

The largest teeth are all from cows of varying ages, the four upper ones in the center ring are from dogs or coyotes, the lower one in the center ring is a deer molar, and the tiny, surprisingly red-colored one in the middle is a partial molar from a juvenile pig. Never seen a modern tooth colored quite like it and I wish it was more complete because it’s gorgeous.

Hoping this new year brings good opportunities for loads more treasure hunting and awesome finds for all of us! <3
