Yeah this is so late everyone else that saw the evening performance probably already has notes to say! But I saw him at the 2PM Matinee, aka his DEBUT DEBUT!!! BABY’S FIRST EVER!!! Very excited to see if it changed at all in the evening, but in the meantime… here you go!

Non-Pierrevid notes:

Everyone’s such a veteran! LJ was #KillingIt, sounding super pained at all the right moments. Shoshana was impeccable as always, Benjamin’s Sam was both confident and shy, I would even say perhaps slightly less cartoony than usual?? Lovely!

Gene and Star had extra beef today! Gene did a whole hand motion her way before he walked away. Michael was hype.

Heyyyy @jade-jupiter Marko and Smoke do indeed look at each other and nod to one another during Have to Have You! She’s on the 2nd floor right corner, essentially right next to Marko, so they have time to acknowledge each other before she has to leave!

Btw I noticed this in a previous showing but Smoke seems to run a palm reading business. She puts up a sign on the 2nd (or 3rd I can’t remember rn) floor.

The Max part of VideoMax did not light up so Paul Nolan had to be like “This is my store! Video………….. maxanywayI took ages to come up with the name”

Michael slams the bat onto the table when the hallucination of the father goes away. You felt that sound!

PIERREVID NOTES!!!!

First off he does not do the Voice that Ali does. Does not try to emulate it does not bother. It solidifies to me that he is NOT a 27 year old man I am so sorry Ali that is a TEEN.

Discord groupchat called it the gay accent so………….. make of that what you will LOL

His posture is also better. Better as in he doesn’t walk like an old man. Honestly he’s so teenager LOL EVEN THO I THINK MARAIS IS OLDER THAN ALI??? Crazy

Okay first specific note: during Have to Have You when the mic was giving him trouble he just let the damn thing hang. Super amusing to see on stage, he did not bother twirling it, did not bother wasting time to fix it. The state of the mic was up to god. Also just went straight to kneeling so that a Santa Carlan local could sing into the mic.

I could see awkwardness between him and the other members of the band! (Specifically Maria, whom Ali has no qualms about trying to have sex on stage with 🫩) Seeing as this is THE FIRST EVERRRR I think they’re still trying to figure out what’s allowed and what isn’t in terms of body contact. Didn’t stop them from singing their heart out! Pierre has a very nice baritone when he wants to bring it out!

Does a little cheeky shimmy when doing the guitar stroke motions during Time to Kill.

Instead of tapping Marko when he stops them from prematurely eating Michael he continued singing “cuz I got all the time in the world” while facing Michael, instead leaning back and just caressing Marko’s jaw with his fingers. I did go a little AWHUH??? At that I’m not going to lie. I’m not even sure I’m describing it rightttttt it fucking SHOOK me

Sniffed that handkerchief so hard he tries to inhale it into his lungs and may have also put it in his mouth My God.

Did indeed lick a finger after caressing Michael’s neck right before going in for the kill 🫣

He sang the “how far are you willing to go?” Did a cheeky little tune!! And the chin grab was way more gentle than Ali does it.

During the Coronado flashback moment (this is usually concurrent with Dwayne showing off his tattoo) he looked extra sad and even grabbed his stomach. Moved away from Marko (as always!) and walked over to Star to hold both her hands and then they looked like they spoke for a bit before getting back.

As mentioned before he was less touchy feely. Did not yank Dwayne on the couch. He did twirl Vasquez’ hat tho.

Minimal skin contact with both Star and Michael during the time freeze moment. His line delivery was super good, I do not believe him when he says that this is about Michael. Minimal as in he only touched them both twice and didn’t linger, though he does do a gentle chin grab on Star because he hates me in particular.

When he tells Michael that “all you have to do is let go” he’s swinging from one of the bars and doing… a pull-up!? Before letting go at the “let go” line. He then goes down the bridge proper and falls as normal! Was it necessary to show off!?

Full on wince during Secret Comes Out. Actually not even a wince that was a whole ouchie. That dude was in PAIN seeing Michael get hit by his father. My brother in Christ YOU SUMMONED THE HALLUCINATION

Ok but also Secret Comes Out…. Ooof. Oooooooof. That outfit on him…. The abs……….

I think he did the arm raise queue a little too early during that point in SCO when Michael is raised up to above the stage. He tried to improvise with it and… it was an interesting move set! LOL! It added to my “wolf” moniker when I think of him haha. But also it may have come out a little silly which is fineeee to meeee ❤️

During Act 2 I think he got more comfortable touching his band mates but also his favorite body part is the chin and jaw. HE LOVESSSS THE GENTLE CHIN GRAB???

Slid his hand through Michael’s chest during Belong to Someone reprise. I’m just describing A Normal David at this point but this felt necessary.

Stroked Star’s chin and also held her hand and also got real close for no reason during the scene before War. NO REASON!!!!

“I don’t want to kill you, but I will” and he was stroking Michael’s neck. Okay. Okay. I GET it. Okay.

I couldn’t see his face at the end when Max touches his shoulder :( I think it was typical neutral surprised motion.

I got to ask him during Stagedoor what his favorite scene in Death Becomes Her was and he said it was Grandma Sarah (his friend plays her!) and also that he cried during it on Sunday 😭😭😭
