Study Abroad
I got an e-mail today from the International counselor at UEL about picking courses.
That is quite a big step.
PANIIIIIIC!
Meh. I can't decide. Do a degree in Geography and then a PGCE? Or do a speech therapy course and come out as a speech therapist?
- Geography looks really interesting + I could definitely study and enjoy it for the 4 years. But obviously there's fees etc and that would mean 6/7/8 years at Uni :/
- Speech therapy, I don't know why I want to do it so badly, it just seems really interesting. But, there's barely any jobs at the minute and there's not much else I can do with that degree apart from become a speech and language therapist. I'm almost sure the fees are paid by the NHS for that course, but that could change by the end of the year. + if the fees are paid then obviously it's going to be so competitive. I also don't know if I wana go away either.. but there only is one uni in N.I that offers that course and I went to the open day + wasn't that impressed tbh. Queens was so much better + it does Geography.
So it's like a choice between whether the actual university and what it's surroundings etc are like is that important to me, or if I'm so determined to study speech + language therapy that I won't mind not being at the best of uni's :/
Confused much :(
