This weekend's task: prepare a presentation for next week's design seminar. Previously dreading it, I'm now beginning to feel it's value, as it helps me to organise my thoughts on my current project. Chiefly: where next? I thoroughly surprised myself by knowing almost instantly. This is the first, tentative reaching-out towards my degree project, which I officially start in January. These are all of the things I've done during my course so far that I've loved. Bauhaus. Geometric patterns. Really, really bloody technical weaving. That last one, I moan about terribly when I encounter something new and even more technical than before and sometimes (like seersucker - ugh!), I hate it. But sometimes, I revel in it. I've been avoiding double cloth almost since I heard of it. But I think it's high time we got to know each other. This Wednesday is our mural unveiling! It's finally hitting me that all of our hard work these past 5 months are coming to an end! After many candy sales, paint parties, volunteer requests, donations and other whacky fundraisers it's finally finished!
