there was something she was supposed to remember. something about a request to change the training schedule, a visiting lecturer from another department, gloria saying she had expected more considering her resumΓ© in an undertone that made her skin burn, but all of it seemed to belong to someone else entirely, to a version of her that existed on the other side of the supply closet door, as robby tilted her chin up and trailed a path of kisses down her neck, holding her flush against his frame.
his fingers were warm and broad, burning into the bare skin of her back where her scrub top had ridden up. baran pressed into him, caught the smirk on his lips between her teeth, pulled him back down into a kiss.
it kept intruding. nagging at the edges of her subconscious. her elbow caught a shelf and the pain cut through the haze for half a second, almost long enough for her to grasp it, but then his lips found hers again and the burn of his beard against her skin cleared out the idea inch by inch, until it was almost gone and she gave herself completely to this, when a sound outside the door snagged her ear.
breaking the kiss, baran swallowed down a gasp, reigning back control of herself. she pushed back against his chest, leaning away from him, the closet too narrow to allow a single step, brown eyes finding his, one brow lifted, want still clouding her gaze like smoke.
