Wheeeeeeee first update!

A changelog of current Stuff and Things, mostly about outlining and content generation:

Started work on the outline -- I’m thinking it’ll probably be split into five “routes” (one for each of the four ROs, who each have their own interconnecting storylines, and the common route that happens before locking into a particular plot).

Unlike Greenwarden, TKP will be less book-ish and more TV show-ish; lots of interweaving plotlines, but also lots of replayability. Miss an episode (”missing an episode” in this case being a euphemism for “locking into a route”) and you’ll lose a not-insignificant amount of overarching plot, but not so much that it’s not entertaining. My goal is to make it so that you want to play through all of the ROs’ routes to get a bigger idea of what’s going on. Also, unlike Greenwarden, TKP will probably have some POV switching -- it’s a much more externally, world-focused game than GW is.

Which brings me to the secondary point of: locking into an RO’s route does not necessarily mean that you have to woo that person. You could be friends or in some cases actively working against each other -- “routes” in this case really only means following that character’s storyline to its terminus. Which is ambitious. But whatever!

Speaking of characters, have some bios.

Sibir: M/F/Demi girl (gender selectable), 30-something. A surprisingly famous mercenary who has forgotten more ways to kill people than most armies will ever learn. Grumpy, quiet, and the original despiser of both being perceived and anchovies. Has autism, though in the time that TKP is set that’s called “stoicism and a dry wit.” Which they also have, in addition to autism.

Lisandro Abarcas de Elvira: M, late 20s. The current king of the country of Alandria, though he has yet to be crowned king at the moment, due to a series of civil wars he’s had to fight to keep his kingdom together. An open and seemingly honest person, though at times prone to both melancholy and overexcitement.

Idali Abarcas de Elvira, Duquessa de Tolde, Contessa de Guirocon, Txalora, y Terrezavega: F, early 30s. Lisandro’s elder sister, and greatest enemy. Enigmatic and highly intelligent, Idali is clawing at the throne with bloodied hands and teeth -- she is ruthless in politics and in her social life. She also enjoys insect taxidermy, a good bottle of wine, and the color purple.
