I saw this gif on a refinery article online and had to write something about it. I've never seen this RiRi video so I can't comment on the whole thing (and frankly if I had seen the whole thing I'm sure she could give 2 shits for what my opinion is), but I gotta say, her #unbothered eye roll is priceless!!! Being a pop artist myself its important to give your audience some tongue-and-cheek action from time to time, but this chick is on another planet. I don't know her as a person, and I'm DEFINITELY not a fan of her music, but I have to throw out some props for the manner in which she's managed to convince the masses that she's the dopest artist out there. She's not in my blue-haired opinion, but the doors for lack luster performances, legitimate talent, and entertaining are long gone; which is proof that she's done a great job at surviving regardless. I'm not one of those artists that likes to throw shots at other artists because I'm not as successful or accomplished. I think Rihanna has done quite well (better than 1%) of us still trying to break through. I'm proud of her as an artist and as another black woman. Do I like her attitude in the press?.. Sometimes. Do I think she's an icon?... Absolutely not!.. But perhaps the traditional definition of the DIVA and the ICON are being redefined and she's at the front door trying to kick it down?
