(Context for their names here just in case you're confused)

Vũ Hà Phong (17 y/o- 11th grade)

(Vũ = Rain, Hà = River, Phong = Wind)

- From Hải Phòng city (one of Vietnam's biggest port/harbor city, ALSO notorious for gangs and delinquents)

- Hà My's (Nemu, pronounced Mee) older brother

- School's delinquent, he keeps getting into fights in and outside of school (it's a miracle he's still allowed in the school)

- Literature major (not that it matters to him anyway)

- He was born in Hai Phòng but grew up in a small village in the south, after his parents passed away he moved into the city for highschool and took Hà My with him. Currently working part time at a butcher's shop to support the both of them.

- Frequently skips class to watch Hà My perform in school concerts

- Is a VERY good cook (Sang keeps coming over to eat with them lmao)

- (He treasures Sang a lot, maybe has a crush on him but he hasn't realized it yet bc he hasn't got to sort it all out)

Lâm Trúc Sang (18 y/o- 12th grade)

(Lâm = Forest, Trúc = Bamboo, Sang = Rich/Wealth)

- "From Central Vietnam"- he answers differently every single time so don't even bother (note: if I have to say central viet is probably the closest equivalent to osaka in terms of how unique their dialect is and the diversity of food?)

- Vice-president of the school's Festivity Committee, he's fairly popular with the students' body due to how Likeable His Voice Sounds.

- Also Literature major, he does it just because it's the One (1) thing he excelled as a kid.

- He was supposed to come to the city for highschool with Bình (Rosho) but his mom made him study abroad so now he's just.....Alone In The City.

- He has his own motorbike so he gives Phong rides all the time (going to school, home, running away from other delinquents, etc.), actually a really good driver.

- Looks like your model friendly student but he goes along with most of the shits Phong gets into (usually he's the one that gets them out)

- Food Encyclopedia, he knows ALL of the good places to get food, snacks, drinks, hangouts anything really.

- Hangs out with Phong so much to the point people keep coming to him whenever they want to look for him =))

- The next morning when Bình arrived at the airport he was baffled to see Sang already standing at the front waiting for him. Turns out he walked/took a bus all the way from their village because 1. He doesn’t have a bike and 2. None of his parents are available to take him anyways so in order to make it in time he had to leave in the middle of the night the night before.

- And so their last meeting begins plenty lighthearted, giggles here and there and joking around until Sang held onto Bình with a death grip- “Haha I’m never letting ya go!” He (half) joked and was about to let go when Bình hugged him back with the same strength and cried. Seeing Bình like that Sang too couldn’t contain his sadness and they bawled their eyes out in the middle of the airport, clinging onto each other. It took the adults about 10 minutes to even slightly separate the two. stopped.

- When Sang decided to come home he found out that because he left on a snap decision last night he didn’t bring enough money for the ride home and so he just….walked back, almost getting lost on the way if not for someone from the village who was also heading home.

- Rosho’s name: Nguyễn Nhật Bảo Bình: Nguyễn is a common Viet last name, “Nhật” means “Sun”, Bảo means “to protect/precious” and “Bình” means “Vase”. Alternatively “Bảo Bình” can also mean “Aquarius”

- They met when Sang (Sasara) tried to climb through Bình’s backyard on one of hus Runaway Acts and got caught by the boy himself. Sang panicked a little and handed him a small bag of snacks then ran away. Since then they started hanging out with Sang climbing into Bình window to smuggle snacks for him in exchange of tutoring, but it eventually turns into a deep friendship where they both share discontent about their family situation and promises to run away together once highschool starts.
