fucked up my phone by charging her with a laptop charger, now she's dependent on it
That momentary panic I experience whenever my phone is missing or out of power always makes me a little more sympathetic for Bilbo's messed up relationship with the One Ring
...and that terrifies me.
Steve Jobs has consumed my soul.
So I go off to camp Wednesday morning and I've been ridiculously busy since Friday trying to get everything done at home before I leave. Today I scheduled laundry. I was walking back upstairs when I couldn't place my phone. And then I realized I had just put my shorts I had on in the washing machine. All of a sudden it becomes Mission Impossible 7. I don't think I've ran so fast in my life. I swung the washing machine door open, started pulling every single item of clothing out (since they were all blacks and impossible to tell one item from the other) and finally came upon the shorts I thought contained my beautiful iphone: nothing. I then for some reason still believed my phone was in the washer so I dug my hand in there and tried to feel for it: still nothing. Mind you the washer was still going even though I had had it open for like 5 min now so I was soaking wet.
I gave up and went up to my room when I noticed my phone on top of my drawer. Of course. My sister was there waiting to watch Ferris Bueller with me and looked at me like I was a crazy person. Understandable. It's been about 6 hrs since this incident happened and I still smell like laundry detergent. Perfect.
