it might’ve been best if selina had roamed at his side ; gotham, despite his name being in bright letters a top a skyscraper, is far from being a well recognized home. he lives amongst it’s outskirts, {{ in a manor }} with a decent view of the skyline. but never has he been forced to live as so many others do. yet bruce finds himself daring to wander, in search of the cat with bright eyes, and quick hands. he misses her, and though she may have lied to him, A FRIEND she is to the boy. && despite returning to preparatory school, he finds it hard to maintain such a relation with those so childish, and naive to the danger and corruption of the world outside.
and corrupted the outside world is, to leave those such as the male dark eyes are drawn to ; skulking around in the dark. as so many others, likely including selina herself amongst them.
