Again, I am doing things a bit differently these days. In our complex times, I am trying to keep things simple by leaving off the venue and dates. I am making this choice because participation is personal and looks different for everyone. Some may be choosing to participate by viewing the shows remotely and I do not want to leave these folks out, I don’t want to leave anyone out, ever. This image honors two of South Carolina’s state symbols, the Loggerhead Sea Turtle which like so many of us is endangered and the Lettered Olive Shell. Day 51, ‘12/1/19 #nassaucoliseum’ by @dave__klol. Where to begin? I drove to the show and spent about three hours in an @starbucks parking lot across from the venue. During that time , I called an old friend from #summercamp that I hadn’t spoken to in over twenty years (#twentyyearslater). I reached out to her because she always had the sexiest handwriting. Just very nice snd austere. So we catch up about our lives and I tell her that I still love her handwriting and that I wanted her to spend no more than ten minutes writing out my company name for me to use as the first logo. I didn’t tell her the name or any other details. I heard back from her later that week and she ended up wanting $4000 to design the original logo (the stick figures on the custom heat shrink. I figured that I would do that, among everything else, and do it myself.
