Phiomia – вимерлий рід хоботних, що жили в північній Африці в пізньому еоцені і ранньому олігоцені, близько 36-35 млн років тому. Слово Phiomia утворене від назви “Фаюм” (місто, а також оазис у Єгипті). Ця тварина жила, як і її предок Moeritherium, на берегах озер та річок і живилися водними рослинами. Phiomias are poopin' machines! 😵
Today, I try my hand at phiomia husbandry. I’m crossing Bluebelle with one of our regular livestock males. I’ve got plenty of berries for the little one or little ones, a little playpen built so I can keep track of them, and Trochar on standby to play uncle. I planned for triplets just in case. Just a few errands to run, then I’ll be home to breed some Jurassic Pork.
Bluebelle is the only phiomia I’ve ever seen that I would describe as pretty. Jurassic Pork <3
