Just imagine visiting the theater where Grace made her acting debut! Thinking it all started here is very, very moving... and the building itself is so charming! I couldn’t stand on the stage where Grace first performed, but it was for an excellent cause: the Children’s Arts Program 2015 was taking place! Seeing those kids learn the basics of music, movement and acting was really special.

And this post ends my East Falls series! Once again, I’d like to thank the East Falls Historical Society for their invaluable help. Ms. Ellen Sheehan, I’ll be forever grateful for your kindness in taking me on this fascinating tour! It was a dream come true.

St. Bridget’s Church

I started my visit attending mass at this cozy, gorgeous church - so comforting! After the Eucharist, I met Ms. Ellen Sheehan, one of the officers of the East Falls Historical Society; she told me fascinating stories about Grace, the church, and the Kellys. I found out, for example, that Grace used to sit in the front pews - like I do! The church has some Kelly-related pictures, and, of course, the Monaco-inspired ceiling is breathtaking - as well as the stained glass windows!
