My first time seeing Phil Hamilton was no disappointment. I know we left someone playing at the Weatherford Rodeo that night to come and see Phil. That was my doing. 

It was worth it.

Phil is considered by me (a most respected opinion) to be one of the best songwriters to come out of Texas. Ever. His songwriting formula works with every song I've heard, being the bridge not only ties the song together but brings it above and beyond to make the song spectacular. 

Add the fact that he's a great performer and he's just so darn cute:

I had told him that night that he was my top songwriter right up there with Hayes Carll. He told me he loved me :). 

I have since seen Philthy Phil numerous times since this first time and every time, save one, we have had an awesome time. Nuce has always bought Phil shots and may or may not have danced by the stage.
