okay okay, i had a short little idea about rise of the tmnt x danny phantom
basically, Donnieās bored and he comes across a couple papers about ectoplasm and ghosts. and Dās a man- er, turtle- of science. he doesnāt believe in ghosts and all that junk, much less, the ā"Ghost Zoneāā.
heās actually so incensed that this random couple from the midwest are accredited and cited by government organizations (GIW) that he sets out to prove them wrong.
he puts aside some of his other projects heās been procrastinating on and sets about making his own ghost portal- except one thatās far more efficient than some stupid thing that needs a filter changed every few months so the whole thing doesnāt explode.
unfortunately, Donnieās no expert in ectology so trying to circumvent adding a filter made all of his prototypes blow up in his face. begrudgingly, he starts adding a filter.
his brothers starting getting curious of what he was working on so fervorously, which was a major annoyance because their curiousity meant messing up his lab and touching everything. when S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N. failed at being a bodyguard (he was easily bribed with comics), Donnie resorted to setting up a voice activated door. And when his stupid brothers managed to get past that too, he made a remote controlled blast door.
Eventually, he manages enough peace and quiet to create a functioning prototype- then heĀ allowed his brothers to watch a demonstration; Raph didnāt break down the door after his scream of delight at his success, Donnie totally let them in.
His brothers were amazed, of course, asking all sorts of pointless questions about changing the colour scheme to blue and green, how to preform an exorcism, and is this Really safe, Don?
Pointless, truly.
Well, until all four of them were impossibly pulled through the hand-sized portal and floating in a mess of green, purple, doors, and flying rocks.
Oh and ghosts.
Dozens and dozens of ghosts.
Then, well, he could admit to himself that Raph may have had a point.
