I don’t know who wrote this comment on The Eater, but may I just say that the story is literally free. I wrote it for zero dollars. You did not get charged. And I put a lot of thought and love into it.

I only tag for trigger warnings and I don’t like spoiling my own endings. I’m the kind of reader who likes being surprised, and I treat my readers the same way.

Erik and Christine do have a relationship in the story, but it isn’t the kind you wanted. They don’t end up together in the original book or the musical either, but if you are looking for happy ending E/C there are so many other stories for you to read that fit that bill.

I apologize if the story was not for you, but leaving a comment like this was the truly rude and unnecessary thing.
