how long has it been? chuuya has honestly forgotten to count the days of his absense, and he would honestly deal with ango’s irritating rambling to be more mindful about time management. it’s like he’s never been cut out for that anyway. but that doesn’t mean ango wasn’t right about it— chuuya had been anything but mindful about time management. 

he knows that for his absence, he has to come up with something— an apology, a simple excuse that wouldn’t make any sense; oh, he DEFINITELY would come up with something that would make ango believe him— or not, who knows.

he still has ango’s key to his apartment for whatever godsdamn reason. is it because ango let him become part of his life? is it because ango would let him crash at his place when chuuya was not feeling like being alone? he honestly doesn’t fucking know.

so it has been four months, chuuya knows that much, and he knows that his texts to ango for those past months had been vague and short— as for chuuya it’s important that any mission comes over personal relationships; such a shitty habit, he’s aware of that.

much to chuuya’s surprise, the lock hasn’t changed and for once’s he’s relieved about that. well— why would ango change his lock in the first place? to feel insecure of all things? bullshit, bullshit. 

the door’s open, and the scent of fried eggs hits the room as if ango’s about to cook breakfast. chuuya knows this is going to be awkward, and he hates it already. 

his arrival might be pretty inconvenient right now ( maybe he should have just texted him that he’s about to come over— but he wanted to surprise ango; maybe he should just have not used the key. ).

‘ sorry for interfering ’, he simply mutters, ‘ had the key, so i used it. ’
