Tiles by former Phenix students
Valley Junction resident Jack reached out and asked us:
“I remember when the wall art was done by the Phenix students and placed on the north wall on the second floor. My daughter Sara has a piece on the mural. I wonder what will happen to it or can people reclaim their piece of art.”
We are doing our best to protect these tiles during the construction process and our goal is to keep them exactly where they are on display in the hallway. It feels right that the first art displayed in Phenix School Apartments should have been made by former students.
Thank you to our neighbors for these flowers at our pre-construction open house June 12! They are beautiful.
We were excited to have a visit from some former teachers June 12 at our pre-construction open house who claimed their name plaques from their former classrooms.
Here are views inside of one of our planned 2 bedroom apartments.

A dream come true! There it stands--block upon block, rows of windows glistening in the sunlight, its spaciousness and compactness making it a thing of beauty in its complete simplicity--the long wished-for grade school.

We have taken remaining memorial bricks away from the memorial sign in front of Phenix so they will be safe during construction. If you would like yours returned to you, reach out to Community Housing Initiatives using this form: http://www.chihousing.com/contactus.aspx
