Breathing was the least of her concerns, tho it should have been her only. After an intense fight, they were lucky enough to have left with their lives, most of them had some major injuries. Kitty had sustained hers due to her lack of focus, recklessly phashing to try and aid Kurt that she wound up with a thick piece of metal lodged in her side. Sure she was in a lot of pain, but she was more concerned for the well being of her teammate than herself. “Sorry? Kitty...”
None of them had got away unscathed. His arm was bleeding, a gash. Nothing some stitches wouldn’t fix. His tail draped on the ground, a respite from a sprain sustained when someone had grabbed him mid air. His vision was wonky here and there - perhaps a light concussion.
But she had suffered the worst of all. Bright eyes were fixed in mortified shock at the steel rod, embedded in her flesh as though it were a part of it, but it clearly wasn’t. He didn’t dare to touch it, for fear that pulling it.
But her words. Lord, her words. They cut him, made his chest tight.
“Hush.” A thickly accented whisper. “You will be okay. We need... we need to get you back." But how?! Could he teleport her like this? What if it only made it worse?! He didn’t even know where everyone else was at this point, so scattered they’d been by the fight. “S.. Somehow. I... Ah, I’ll find them! Ja, wait here, I’ll bring them to you. Kitty, stay here and... and breathe.”
