#14. GET AT LEAST ONE TATTOO
Well.... What can I say?? I have been thinking about this one for a long while now... And of course I was'nt able to think of my first tattoo without thinking of my second, third, forth, and so on! But the thing is starting with number one!
I have always been a fan of video games, movies, anime, photography, horror, the list of my interests goes on and on! But the trouble was deciding on just on thing! So I've decided to go back to my childhood and the things that I loved back then. Soo many 8 bit and eventually 16 bit wonders to choose from! There was DigDug, Mario, and then it came to me... Pac-Man! I have decided to get two armbands of the Pac-Man maze!
But where would one get such a thing done to them? Well there's parlors of course, but I was'nt gonna let just anyone stab me thousands of times! So I've decided to leave that honor to my brother Johnny. He's been tattooing for a long while now and has always offered to do a tat for me. So I called him up and told him of my plans. He liked the idea and hooked me up with a tat!
We started on the left armband which is the maze with the ghosts and some fruit. The right one which will be made later will have Pac-Man and Ms Pac-Man with different fruit. But that one will be another day...
When he first started I thought to myself, "heh, this is'nt that bad!" It felt sort of like when you use an electric razor and it kind of scrapes you a bit. Well, like I said... this is an armband... which goes all the way around. My boyfriend Rene told me that most people get an armband but they don't finish it all the way back because of the pain.
Well.... there was some pain at the back of my arm but it was tolerable. Then when he came to the inside of my arm, that was the worst! Unknown to me, there is a nerve that runs up the inside of your arm and into your armpit. ....I felt this... It felt like someone was tugging at a piano wire under my skin! I felt this lovely sensation shooting up into my armpit! But hell, I wanted an armband all the way around! And I'm gonna finish it! Both of them! Although to be honest I don't really look forward to being worked on that part of the skin again...
So the outline was done, everything black got filled in, and some of the orange from the maze was done. But it's not finished... technically I have a tattoo but since it's not done yet I can't cross this one off my list. Maybe once it is I'll post up some pics!
Incase if any of you were wondering about my brother Johnny... Here's a link to his facebook so you can see his work. He'll be working out of a Tattoo Shop in Pharr, TX pretty soon so feel free to drop by! http://www.facebook.com/johnny.dh?ref=ffl
