AU inspired from the anime "Dark Gathering" (super scary but super good!!!). Senpai Minato is kouhai Ryoji's tutor (doesn't need it, just wanted a friend) who ends up in the crossfire of dark, powerful families. The Mochizuki clan are highly proficient necromancers and are known for being invulnerable, thus naturally stand above all other magick families. Minato being the one weakness that recently appeared is killed to force Ryoji to open the Gates of Hades, where undoubtedly he'd do after Minato's death to bring him back somehow. Ryoji attaches Minato's soul to special hand-crafted and alchemised doll, and there Minato learns of Ryoji's full life as ancient line of necromancers who protect the borderline of life and death; taking on the title "Thanatos". If you watched Dark Gathering, they go through similar horrors of handling Ryoji's spiritual responsibilities while trying find a lead on their culprit, but they're silly and lovey dovey most of the time so it's fine??

Everyone thinks Ryoji went crazy after Minato's death by carrying a doll of him that he dresses up in strange outfits everywhere... The outfits are actually requested by Minato, then are carefully handmade with magical materials by Ryoji. When Ryoji is older, people who don't know the story behind the doll think he's just a pervert🥲 Not sure if the story should end with Ryoji willingly becomes a little doll himself to more or less be immortal with his love, or if he ends up powerful enough to use the culprit's life to create Minato a full homunculus body🤔
