The pharmacist and the other techs were sooo confused by the indication because for everything they knew that specific patient was AMAB so they couldn't understand why it would say vaginitis.

We have quite a few trans patients that we know because we teach each other what to call them but this patient wasn't on that "list."

We tried calling the doctor for clarification just in case and the patient but it was a weekend so no one returned our calls.

Literally so many folks came here today trying to transfer their prescriptions to Kroger but if no one is there we can't do it

I feel so fucking bad for Medicaid patients because folks that have their prescriptions at Walgreens can't get them filled here because insurance will just count them as duplicates even if they're just sitting in the database. Doesn't matter if the doc sends a new prescription and they can't use GoodRx or anything because they'll lose their Medicaid altogether.

Covering pharmacist was late, then the doors were stuck so we could only open it a certain amount and had to jump over the counter, then our credit card machines were down, AND we had a line to the door immediately.

Then the pharmacist was just gone for an hour so I was by myself running a whole pharmacy.

At any given moment you have a line of 10 people trying to pick up, refill, or get vaccines. The phones are ringing off the hook. You are expected to push everyone onto the auto refill program. There are prescriptions that need to be filled that you have to do yourself. People are asking you questions about stuff in the aisles that you don't stock. There's hazardous waste to be documented and disposed of. There's drugs that were filled and not picked up that need to be returned to stock. There's folks with the most complex and obscure government healthcare problems that take 30 minutes of your time.

Everything is given a priority of 100 and you're by yourself when the pharmacist runs to the bathroom every 2 hours.

You're working on early 2000s Java software that crashes every time you try to enroll people on autorefill.

Last Sunday was my 1st day on the job at the actual pharmacy I applied for and it wrecked me. I literally came home needing to sit in a dark room for an hour and cry because it was extremely understaffed and I wasn't being supported like I was supposed to be and had to learn a ton of new processes because this location deals with 3x more schedule 2 drugs.
