The Young Artist Project Blog - Day 10

We started with an early day to get as much done as possible in the writing of our third (and hopefully final) script. It was a bit of a rough start because we agreed that this time only half of our group would be writing the script. So the other half of us had little to do for a while until we worked out how to share script writing a bit better. It took much of the entire day, but we finished the script before we left for the night. There was quite a bit of drama in agreeing on our collaboration ideas and not just fulfilling the story of one person’s. There was disagreement on whether or not we are achieving this as we continue to write.

There were certain parts of our story that I still wasn’t sure about. Eventually, we came to a compromise. However, as the story started to develop the script had to take a different path than our original compromise. Sometimes, as an artist we need speak our minds to get our opinions heard. However, with the nature of Young Artist Project, we were put to a vote and at this time, ideas of others are what we are going with. The definition of collaboration is “the action of working with someone to produce or create something” and in this case we must create something that is nothing less than amazing.
