Final sculpture title: Stages of love
This project, titled "Stages of love," captures the stages of love through a pair of intricate hand structures adorned with colorful feathers. Crafted from a blend of plaster, paint, feathers and a structure made out of wood with fabric on top, the hands symbolize the fleeting nature of love.
Each hand stands for a distinct stage of the love journey, from the first romantic connection to the entwined, complicated feelings that follow. The feathers, which come in a variety of colors, hanged underneath the hands, representing the range of feelings that are felt during the several phases of love.
As a reflection on the impermanence of love, the hands are intentionally left incomplete. The use of vibrant feathers signifies the beauty and fragility of these emotions, while the choice of materials, including plaster adds depth to the narrative. This sculptural masterpiece invites viewers to contemplate the transitory nature of love, celebrating its highs and acknowledging the challenges.
