Influences in the Phantom's wardrobe in the Takarazuka production of Y&K Phantom
this can not be a coincidence, they have exactly the same vibes although the execution is a bit different, like a slave girl tiara on Broadway and west end. The similarity is limited in the waist up, in Takarazuka, Haruno Sumire wears white knee-high boots.
The meaning of the ring is not clear or relevant in Takarazuka phantom, so I think it is simply a reference to Merik, I find it interesting that no Erik in any stage production use the ring on the traditional finger, which strengthens my suspicions that it's just a reference.
I mean, it is the iconic half white mask, a bit flat (all the masks of the production of 2004 are in my opinion) but still recognizable.
This is more subtle, the suit is very different, but the sleeves are very similar.
The phantom’s feather hat is not very representative of him, and in Takarazuka the feathers were only used in advertising photos, but it is still interesting I think.

The Phantom’s deformity in the Takarazuka production of Yeston and Kopit’s Phantom
If a phantom does not immediately make me hear the voice of the little girl of Ant-Man in my head saying, ‘’He’s so ugly, I love him!’’ then something is very wrong
Takarazuka Erik and Christine + Hands
They are too precious for this word, seriously, Takarazuka actresses always nailed body language.
Christine’s Melody de Paris dress in the Takarazuka Revue production of Yeston and Kopit’s Phantom. (For names and additional information, click in the photos)
This is the first dress in we see Christine, the one Hanafusa Mari wears is my personal favorite, all the others look too ostentatious and cumbersome for a girl who makes her living singing and dancing in the streets and selling sheet music, but they are all beautiful, nobody can deny that!
