James took a sip of his coffee as he sent Winter a link to a tabloid website, "Did you see this one? Apparently your resignation was all a cover up for us planning to overthrow the SDC. Additionally, you were apparently cheating on me with Clover."
She pinched the bridge of her nose. How did some of these people come up with these outrageous ideas? They didn’t even make sense in the first place.
“And just how is my resignation supposed to be an attempt to overthrow the SDC? In all these years I have not once made any attempt to take back what I don’t want. Or are they thinking my resignation wasn’t real and just a distraction?” Not that it made any more sense anyway.
“Clover? They think that I--” There was definitely a headache coming on. “Of course they would think I’d go and do such a thing. Wonderful.”
