"Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize… I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace," Trump wrot
If we need more evidence that the current POTUS has the mind of a petulant toddler, Trump's belligerence over Greenland is a hissy fit over not getting the Nobel Peace Prize.
President Trump says his controversial push for U.S. control of Greenland comes after he failed to win the Nobel Peace Prize last year, adding he no longer feels obliged to think only of peace. n a message to Norway's prime minister Jonas Gahr Støre on Sunday night, Trump criticized the European country for not giving him the prize. "Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America," Trump said in the message. "The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland," Trump added. The message was reported by PBS NewsHour, and was later confirmed by Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre in a statement. Gahr Støre said he received the message on Sunday in response to a text he and Finland's President Alexander Stubb had sent to Trump, in which they had conveyed opposition to Trump's proposed tariff increases on eight European countries over the recent Greenland dispute, and pointed to the need to de-escalate. "Norway's position on Greenland is clear. Greenland is a part of the Kingdom of Denmark, and Norway fully supports the Kingdom of Denmark on this matter," Gahr Støre said. "We also support that NATO in a responsible way is taking steps to strengthen security and stability in the Arctic." Gahr Støre also pointed out that while President Trump claimed that Norway "decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize," the government of Norway is not responsible for the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize. The Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded by a five member Norwegian Nobel Committee since 1901.
Trump probably doesn't know the meaning of peace. He sends state-sponsored terrorists into US cities to harass and kill US citizens.
In another demonstration of his unfitness, he has invited war criminal Vladimir Putin to join his Gaza "peace board" – a totally made up organization in Trump's demented brain.
Kremlin claims Putin was invited to join Trump’s ‘board of peace’ for Gaza
Trump is a total fuckwad. He is government of the morons, by the morons, for the morons. And he is empowered by Capitol Hill Republicans who rubber stamp his toddler tantrums.
A note to our friends in Europe. YOU CAN'T APPEASE TRUMP. The only way to get Trump to back down is to make him look like a LOSER. Quit quibbling amongst yourselves and show a united front. If you wish to be perceived as a major force, you need to act like it.
Adam's silence steeped the air like tea left too long. Thickening, embittering.

Petulance
The silence is peppered throughout the meal.
My mother and I eat at a darkened restaurant,
each unaware of the other’s thoughts, yet acknowledging the elephant in the room:
Petulance.
It is in every thrash of my teeth as I tear into a porterhouse steak.
Every click of my tongue, thick with acridity, as I try to talk about what she did this week when all I want to
say,
yell,
scream,
‘WHY WON’T YOU LISTEN TO ME!’
Every breath is a forfeited moment, like the one before, for
connection,
solace,
peace.
But those were lost so many breaths ago.
All that remains is a child’s fear for his mother and a woman’s fear
of death.
That is the crux of my petulance.
Fear.
Every sound I utter is buttered with it. Every syllable garnish it.
PLEASE DON’T FIRE YOUR HOME HEALTH AIDE.
PLEASE STOP DRIVING.
PLEASE BE SAFE.
PLEASE…
My screams are smothered with pink peppercorn sauce as I spoon more rice on my plate and idle on about the politics of the day and worsening traffic conditions.
My mother, across the chasm of a table, aging and hating every second of it.
Clinging desperately to independence
slipping
away
too
fast.
And I am deaf to her cries.
PLEASE LET ME KEEP MY FREEDOM.
PLEASE DON’T LET ME DIE.
PLEASE LET ME BE.
PLEASE…
Her screams are drowned in raspberry vinaigrette as she gnaws the lettuce from her salad and talks about the latest book she’s reading.
The room is filled with unfulfillment as we finish our meal.
Both of us knowing the other is wrong; wishing for a world that doesn’t exist.
That can’t exist.
Our petulance is the one thing binding us.
And the one thing.
Choking us.
Magnus petulantly saying 'why is Ragnor Fell up there, he's not more powerful than I am?' is exactly the kind of petty childish shit I would have to say about my best friend if we were warlocks.
Points for realistic best friendship
