I don’t know, I just think it’s really weird that Saudi Arabia has not seen anywhere close to as many terror attacks from Wahhabist groups as almost any of its predominately Muslim neighbors, including those with better-trained armies.
I also think it’s worthy of note that Osama grew up before Saudi Arabia and the US forged an alliance, which stipulated Saudi Arabia basically let Israel be, and the main objects of Osama’s vitriol were the US and Israel. Meanwhile, al-Baghdadi grew up a generation or so later, while Saudi Arabia was vying against Iran for control of the Middle East and of OPEC, and the main object of al-Baghdadi’s vitriol was Shi’a Islam, the primary school of thought in Iran.
It looks to me less like these groups were borne out of a vacuum and simply would have occurred when Islam clashed with the modern world, and more like the most important Islamic terror groups are all toeing the line to whatever the House of Saud has to say.
Im in a bad mood now because what I thought was a safe space was filled by people who's reasoning was clouded by fundamentalist dogmatic petroislamist propaganda, groan I hate the fact that so much of Islam has been tainted by Oil and the Saudi's influence
Although now I'm wondering what Allah's plan is they must have a clever plan, and I cannot wait to see how it plays out
