#Sam ends up feeling bad about his sulking and teaching him to take care of little air plants

#she uses the ones that die as fertilizer for her own garden

#and quietly replaces them so he still thinks he's doing a good job

#it's a weird mentor-mentee/hero-villain/frenemy thing

#but then

#that's kind of what 98% of all the 'Ghost Getters'' relationships with ghosts boil down to after a few years anyway

#so at least Sam is getting cheap-ish organic fertilizer out of this particular weird partnership

#like how Tucker is getting free ghost tech access in exchange for periodically reprogramming Skulker's PDA

#the one that makes him go research gorillas every time it resets back to its defaults

#or how Johnny 13 spies on Vlad and other high-level threats in exchange for

#not getting snitched on to Kitty when he goes to the human realm without her

#AND not getting beat up and tossed in the thermos repeatedly

#and

#he asked for candid pics of Jazz doing stuff like reading in the park and doing her hair and stuff

#but when Danny’s eyes started to glow at the suggestion

#he settled for just

#not getting hurt

#I mean he still ends up fighting Danny

#they all do

#with the obvious exception of those who have actually sworn their loyalty to him like Wulf and The Far Frozen and so on

#but despite the fights and the returns to the ghost zone and the general animosity

#Technus has a hobby he enjoys now

#and Skulker can take a breath and LIVE his unlife freely for a few months at a time before needing to renegotiate with Tucker

#and Johnny’s relationship with Kitty has rarely been so stable

#so yeah they’re still enemies but

#Sam praises Technus for the health of his newest Aloe plant

#slipping up and saying she’ll have to buy her own fertilizer this time

#and Technus thinks

#maybe they’re not enemies so much as just
