Fuck It → Roger Taylor (Part 1)
Summary
You and Roger have never liked each other that much. Or at least you’d never admit that you did. But when Mary pushes you when you’ve had more than a few drinks, you do something that you may or may not regret in the morning.

“I’m not going tonight,” I said as Mary and I browsed through clothes. Freddie was throwing a welcome home party for himself and Queen after touring. If this had been a few months ago, I definitely would have gone.
“Babe, you must! Freddie won’t have it if you don’t go. You know how he is,” she said laughing. I definitely knew how he was. I had known him since he worked at Heathrow.
“After what happened with Roger-“
“You should go anyways. He’s a dick anyways. The boys miss you.” I sighed. I missed them too but I don’t know if I could face Roger after what happened.
It was a day when the band and I had gone to the studio. We were bouncing ideas off of each other about the album they’d work on when they came back from tour. We were joking around and I had said something about adding myself to the album cover or going on tour with them.
“You can’t come on tour with us, what would people think?”
“I don’t think any of us want to hear anymore of your shit ideas.”
“If we had your face in the cover, sales would be so low that our label would drop us.”
The list went on. It had gotten to the point where I could feel the knot in your throat and the tears in your eyes. I left abruptly, excusing myself and driving home before the boys could stop you. From then on, I had distanced yourself from Roger and unfournately the other boys too. I love Deaky, Freddie, and Bri a lot. I thought about it for a little bit. I didn’t want to jeopardize my relationship with boys just because of a stupid argument with Roger.
“I just don’t know, Mary.” I browsed through the dresses hung in the store. A few looked pretty but nothing I could pull off. I kept looking before something caught my eye. It was a red satin dress that went to about mid-think with a plunging, triangular neckline.
“That is a beautiful dress, Y/N. You should wear it to the party.” I looked at Mary and laughed.
“I might go,” I said and she smiled and continued looking at the dresses in front of her. I looked back at the dress in my hands. I liked it a lot. Maybe I would go to Fred’s party. There would be quite a lot of people there so I could always escape into the crowd if Roger approached me.
“I’ll go.”
Mary squealed beside me and hugged me. I laughed a bit, hugging her back.
“You won’t regret this,” she smiled.
We finished shopping and I decided to buy the dress. When we finally got back to my flat, I tried the dress on and it was perfect. It hugged my waist nicely and the color complimented my complexion. After seeing myself in the dress, I had a surge of confidence. Any thoughts of Roger and I’s argument left my mind. I smiled to myself as I looked in the mirror.
I had paired the dress with a long-sleeve, white fur coat. It was a gift from Freddie for my birthday. I quickly did my makeup and straightened my blonde hair.
Fred, being Fred, had sent a limo to my house that Mary also rode in to the party with me. By the time we had gotten to the party, I had already had a glass of champagne from the small liquor selection in the limo.
We walked into Freddie’s house, basically a mansion, and it was insane. Many people were dressed in extravagant costumes, but I wasn’t surprised.
“Y/N!” I heard the familiar loud voice from behind me. I turned around and sure enough, it was Freddie Mercury himself.
“Mr. Mercury! You look ravishing,” I exclaimed. He laughed throwing his head back.
“Better not say that in front of Roger, darling.” I looked at him confused. Why would Roger care what I say? He obviously didn’t a few months ago.
“Why would that be?”
“He has been talking about you non-stop. Quite annoying actually. He’s obsessed, dear.” Now I was really confused. Why would Roger care about me?
“Don’t be ridiculous, Fred. That wanker doesn’t give two fucks about me.”
“I don’t know about that. I’m pretty sure he’s got his eye set on you.” I scoffed. “Sure, Fred.”
I took a sip of my drink. I had never been more confused in my life. Why would Roger talk about me so much after what happened? Surely, Fred must be joking. I was so lost in thought that I hadn’t heard the two men behind me.
“Are you deaf? We’ve been calling your name for a while now.” I turned around and saw Brian and Deaky.
“Hey! How was tour?” I asked as I hugged them both.
“Would’ve been better if we didn’t hear Roger complain about how he fucked everything up the entire time.” Brian laughed. “That doesn’t have anything to do with me, does it.”
“It actually does, Y/N. Rog is bloody in love with you, I swear,” Deaky said and shook his head. At this, I froze. What the hell.
“Say that again? I’m pretty sure I’m dreaming.” Freddie laughed. “You heard him right, dear. Look behind you.”
I turned around and there was Roger. He looked quite stunning and if I was any other girl or drunker, i probably would’ve had my hands running up in down his bear chest, where his shit was unbottoned slightly. He wore a red button up shirt convered by a black jacket and terribly, tight, flared jeans.
He didn’t look away. He just kept staring at me like he wasn’t ashamed and took a sip of the drink in his hand. I shook my head and looked away.
“I need a drink.” I said and walked to the bar. I ordered a few shots and felt my throat burn as I threw them back.
“Careful there.” I heard Roger come up behind me.
“What do you care?” I said feeling a little bit tipsy already.
“Never said I did,” he said and I scoffed and walked away. I wasn’t going to deal with him tonight.
“Y/N!” Mary came up to me. “How has it been so far? Did you see Freddie?” she asked.
“Yeah, I did. I’ve been fine.” I said and grabbed yet another drink.
“Just fine?” she asked and I nodded. She shook her head and grabbed my hand and took me toward the crowd of people dancing. “I would never do this but since you desperately need to have some fun tonight. I’ll accompany you.”
We danced for a while and laughed until we got tired and decided to take a break. We sat down on the loveseat, near to where Roger and Brian were sitting and chatting. “I just don’t get it. How could he talk about me like he misses me and then go back and say he doesn’t care about me. It doesn’t make any sense, Mary.”
“You know, Roger has always had a bad temper. Never knew how to express his feeelings in the right way. Maybe he does like you,” she said. “I just don’t get it.”
She sighed, “Why don’t you go and kiss him then? See what he does.”
“Wait, what?” I exclaimed. I definitely heard her wrong. “Go ahead. If he kisses you back, you’ll know he likes you and if he doesn’t than he’s a prick.”
“He was already a prick,” I slurred. Mary laughed and pushed me forward to where Roger was now getting up from his seat. He glanced at me quickly before looking back down. I downed the rest of my drink, feeling drunker than before. “Fuck it.”
I got up and walked towards him. He looked at me again, confused as to why I was approaching him. Suddenly, I grabbed his jacket and pulled him towards me, his lips meeting mine. It took him a while to register what was happening but then started to kiss me back.
Brian stood there confused while Mary smiled. “Well, isn’t it the happy couple! Finally realized you both want the same thing yet?” I heard Fred say but didn’t stop kissing Roger. He flipped Freddie off and then grabbed my face and put his arm around my waist to deapen the kiss.
After a few more seconds of snogging, Roger pulled away and smirked. “Oh, shut up and kiss me again you wanker.”
He laughed and pulled me back in by my neck to kiss me again. “Don’t you two need to breath?” Brian asked while he laughed. “Let them be, Bri. They’ve waited long enough for this to happen. Stubborn little shits.” Fred saïd and carried on with the party while Roger and I “caught up”.
