Peter Clinton paid a visit to the Brown Detective Agency. According to Peter, Bugs Meany said he had a sword that once belonged to Stonewall Jackson. Bugs was willing to give Peter the sword in exchange for his bike.

Wait, why does this kid have a sword?

Peter, believing that the deal sounded too good to be true, thought he’d get outside help determining the sword’s authenticity. Technically, Encyclopedia was running a detective agency, not a consulting firm. But hey, 25 cents is 25 cents.

They swung by the Tigers’ clubhouse to check out the sword which has an engraving stating that the sword was presented in 1861 to Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson for his role in the First Battle of Bull Run. That’s when Encyclopedia’s bullshit detector went off.

First off, there was no way in 1861 that anyone would know that there would be a Second Battle of Bull Run, which took place in 1862. Secondly, the Battle of Bull Run was the name given by Northerners. The Confederacy called it the Battle of Manassas.
