The chocolate industry has a little-known dark side: with practices including child slave labour, destruction of rainforests, and heavy reliance on GMOs. Our production scale is kept small to ensure a direct relationship with the Peruvian farmers who produce the cocoa beans we use. These farmers have too often felt that their needs and rights were ignored when working with larger production companies. By purchasing XOXO Chocolate, you’re advocating for farmers’ rights in Peru and joining a chocolate revolution!
