Perth Hills Bushfires
You may or may not have seen but on Monday 1st of February a Bushfire began in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia.
The fires threatened the place I’ve lived for the last 17 years of my life, being asthmatic we evacuated on Tuesday when our area was put on a “Watch and Act” alert.
As of 12 pm Thursday, 4th of February:
81 properties have been destroyed
The Fire front is 136 kilometres long
Roughly 10,000 hectares have been destroyed by the fires
They estimate somewhere around 500 people have evacuated and that does not include the people who were allowed to move into hotels or the houses of families and friends
3 evacuation centres have been set up
