The Great Beds Lighthouse located on the boundary between #NewJersey and #NewYork. It was named after the oyster beds on which it stands and was first lit on November 15, 1880. The last keepers left in 1945 after automation. It was added to the @nationalregisternps in 2008. The #lighthouse was auctioned in 2011 and is now under private ownership. The lighthouse is located at the confluence of the Raritan River and Arthur Kill and can easily be seen from Perth Amboy or Staten Island.
