As you can see in the video I came up with the idea to make a black background that would cut off the photographed object from the background. It is a little swept but after the first day of pictures I ironed it. I put the flash on the ground to get more interesting effects. I also put on a flash extender, which gave me sharper light and a less illuminated background. Fortunately, my place was hidden and the police did not visit me because of coronavirus. I also wanted to take pictures at the lake to photograph other species of birds with a wide-angle lens and using flash. Photos from the water level would look great but the police chased me away because I was sitting by the lake and I was taking pictures. They made me laugh but I had to leave. The weather was not always good for me, because most of the time the sun shone strongly. A lot of sunlight was a big problem for me, because it depended on the long exposure time, about 1 sec. So I didn't have much time to take a picture. Actually, the only time was early morning and late afternoon. Fortunately for me, the leaves on the trees grew, which darkened the place where I was taking pictures. To hide the shape of the masking tent, I built a wall of branches and leaves. Because he came to the Great Spotted woodpecker many times. He was afraid of my masking tent, that's why I built additional masking. However, he did not appear. I had to be content with the birds that came.

My first setup I built in forest , previously pleace was prepared by my colleagues who feed the birds there. Thanks to their kindness I could build a hide there and carry out my plan. I made some changes to the feeders that my colleagues built. I used peanut butter to attract the birds. I took this idea from my fellow bird watchers. It was a great idea, because birds love peanut butter, which gives them a lot of energy and is not harmful to their health. I had to make these changes to get the most natural-looking place. As you can see in the video, the flash is on the upper left. The background is natural. As it turned out later, this was not a good idea, because under strobe light the object was not cut from the background.
