Personal Bio - 1st Draft
Elizabeth Allen is a student at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, intending to graduate in May 2015 with a BFA in Design and Visual Communication. She enjoys using design to visually simplify, clarify, and share information. Previous design projects have allowed her to develop skills in problem-identification, persona development, researching, branding, and rapid prototyping.
Elizabeth is also proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign. In the spring of 2014, she worked as a classroom assistant in an entry-level design class at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. While she was there, she assisted the instructor and provided one-on-one assistance to students who needed extra help learning the design programs.
In the field of graphic design, Elizabeth especially enjoys web design work and has coding knowledge in HTML, CSS, and jQuery. Before she graduates, she also intends to become proficient in Tumult Hype and PHP as well. Elizabeth also has a passion for photography, both as an asset to design, and as an art form in it of itself. During her last year of school, Elizabeth is interested in learning more about design’s role in business and how the design process can be used to start an entrepreneurship.Â
