tbh my experience of the demi/grey side of my aroaceness is like. hm.
to me, attraction, a lot of the time, is like taffy that's just out of reach. It's there and I'm aware of its possibility to stick to me and take a bite but 9 times out of 10 if I don't make an active decision to reach towards it, I don't feel a thing. And even when I reach out, it'll often slip right through my fingers and I move on with my day.
There's a space barrier that I live in, in a way? It makes being fictionally horny super easy because attraction isn't a factor that I need to put into consideration. There's a fourth wall that provides premise, and I can feel the attraction vicariously through what characters find hot.
But that bubble of space, that sort of attraction lag, attraction vicariousness? Makes it super difficult to identify if/when I'm ACTUALLY into someone or if my brain latched onto something else about the person that I find appealing and is refracting it incorrectly.
it’s still black history month right?
Ok serious talk here that has nothing to do with fandom but if any of you have ever struggled with a restrictive e*ting disorder I want you to know that enjoying yourself and partaking in good food during the holidays is okay. I know it’s hard, i’ve been having to remind myself to stop mentally counting calories and imagining the scale number going up but we’ll be okay! :)

My mom has this podcast she likes listening to where a woman and her husband will look at a type of supernatural event or creature and then read some people's supposed encounters with them. She listens to it when she does dishes and when she drives, and I think this to my mom what the magnus archives is for me.
A person from the other side of the globe from us reads a supernatural statement that ends up sounding like a short horror story. It's funny to me that we each have our own little thing. It's like mom audio horror. Sometimes I'll overhear one and in my head I'll be like "omg that's so stranger coded"
As much as I love showing my OCs and wanting more people to know about them, I don't want it to go on the route where fans butcher my characters personalities and sexualize them to a degree until popular Twitter x user "Maibaulsaur_BEEG465" said "yeah these characters actually fucking suck" (for whom whatever reason doesn't know how to separate the fans and the creator/show/media etc) and everyone who was hiding in the mysterious hidden hate bush started agreeing and talking shit
u know that feeling when u feel like there's a chance of you just not existing and everything has been a story or in someone else's head the whole time? because like. yeah
