interpersonals
at this late date I can admit that if I were open in reacting to people, those I come to know well. I would tell many that I loved them, passively or with a strong, mutable current. I would tell even more people I hate them, from cat-spitting resentment to deep loathing. Of course these aren't clear or simple feelings, especially the loves - those can be "maddening" simply due to overload - of time spent, of detail.
But, I don't, we don't, interact this way. We're dishonest. Instead we're Kabuki players, ritualists, coders, systems analysts, dialogue modules with strictures. The honest ones appear to be flakes, or worse. rational language and raw emotion don't mix. special set-asides are needed for feelings to be traded; so often, these "set-ups" collapse - just more Kabuki.
A possible approach to a solution might be immersion in imagistic confessional poetry, evolving toward selective telepathy. But Tumblr doesn't bode well for this; all the best poetry talks only to itself. "confessionals" are cliche-ridden.
