“ now you listen carefully to me, percival graves, because i am only going to say this one time - ” perenelle was a reasonable person, no one could accuse her of being unfair or too hotheaded. but there were a handful of things people shouldn’t comment on and her loved ones were one of them. it was the best way to end up on the woman’s bad side for a while, if not forever, as she didn’t tolerate any of it. lord knows she’d gotten into plenty of arguments because someone had insulted nicolas or anyone else of her family and friends. “ i have been incredibly gracious and generous letting you into my house, having you sit at my table, reading my books, sharing my knowledge, and treating you with respect. but do not think, for one single minute, that i’m not capable of taking back what i have been given or that i won’t. because i will. ” it rarely happened that the immortal got so riled up but she was one hundred percent serious. perenelle didn’t do empty threats so when they were made, one was better of to do as she said. “ you do not come into my house and disrespect the people i love. at all. this is a warning because we’re friends, but do it again and even nicolas won’t be able to help you. ”
