If they were in Evernight Castle, Mercury would have had a hard time believing that. But they weren't in Evernight, they were out on a supply run. He looked down at Mercury's hands on his pecs, blinking a few times. This was an interesting approach to asking him a question, because Mercury was not listening one bit. His stupid guy brain was just telling him to do the same thing back, but it would get him kicked. The question was was it going to be in the junk or in the chin, she'd been working on her flip kick.

He'd been sitting on his bed, playing a game on his scroll when two hands grabbed his face and tilted his head up to receive a kiss on the forehead. He heard the game over music play and didn't find he cared all that much.

Mercury wrinkled his nose. Pretending like he didn't enjoy Emerald's affection.

He slipped two fingers around her belt loop and pulled her into his lap, a pout on his face. Why forehead kisses when his face was right there after all.

"Come over here my pretty lady," Mercury grinned, wrapping his arm around Emerald's waist. He bent a bit, wrapping his other arm under her thighs and lifting her up. He kissed her neck softly, holding her tight and close. And after a minute he kissed her on the mouth softly.
