When the R&D shop over at UF finally does whip up a three-ingredient formula for inter-dimensional travel, rest assured: In less time than it takes Willis' heroes to mist themselves off to the distant planet of Alternia, a gaggle of grad students will form a start-up to deliver pizzas to the Pleiades. Now that would be sooo Gainesville. Give the ART credit for taking a chance on a local playwright with a script that is so ambitious, so far-ranging and, yes, so silly, that pulling it off within the confines of the theater's tiny stage seems an achievement in its own right.
