Do you have any failmarriage feelings/thoughts abt rava and kendall? Just rewatched pre nuptial and loved their toxic exchange
YEs, I think Rava is probably a decent person who loves Kendall and Kendall also loves her but he’s obviously just incapable of being someone who can be settled and domestic bc of his immense ambiguous disorder. I read this interview where Natalie Gold says that she wasn’t inherently drawn towards the prestige of the Roy name and family, but she marries him and she’s essentially the love of his life, which Jesse Armstrong said himself. And Kendall obviously kind of relies on her emotionally especially when he’s sober as someone who can comfort him, but again that can only go so far when you’re with an addict and it all falls apart. But also I like to think that Rava is not That of a virtuous person since she married him, but I do think she’s arguably the most decent person on the show. I do like her though and she does what’s best for the kids and prioritizes them over kendall.
But also that scene in Pre-nuptial is just soo good and Kendall becomes soo cringe and such an asshole when he’s on coke, just this perpetual cycle of torment and self loathing bc hes so different and not obviously as tense and nervous. He’s finally not as sensitive and on the brink of an emotional/mental collapse as when he’s sober. It’s just sad really.
