Why you think they should be recognized: Another artist who has “retired” from ReiGisa, Penki’s doodles and art had a very “round” and “cute” feel to them and never failed to make me smile because of how sweet they were. The childlike innocence her drawn characters had made them very easily likable.

I think for me male authors have to prove themselves more, which is maybe a bit silly because both men and women can internalize misogynistic views and portray women in shallow ways, but there you have it. Also there’s a tiny resentful piece of me that thinks “well most men have never shown an interest in my genre so why should I show an interest in theirs?”--like, whenever my dad reads stuff I’ve written that’s aimed at teen girls he says it’s “not his genre”--and he means it so so well but there’s a part of me going “well men in the nineteenth and twentieth century being scared of god and the future isn’t my genre either but that didn’t stop school curriculums from forcing me to read their stuff”

Thank you. Wrists are sort of worse this morning because they feel bruised. Hip isn't as stiff, though, so at least I can go out and about.
